I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite things to do is to enter blog GiVeaWaY contests. I luuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrve GiVeaWaYS almost as much as I lurve sassy-but-meaningful vinyl clings on every wall of my home.

Anywho, I just won my first blog GiVeaWaY on my BFF Beccers' blog. I know that all the wannabes who are jealous of our friendship probably think that her contest was RIGGED because she adores me, but it soooooo wasn't. She had an official votey-thingy and everything, and I got 8 out of 25 votes. That's, like, almost one-third. Go me!

I know this'll be the beginning of a GiVeaWaY-winning streak for me! First, I'm gonna win these homemade rose blossom earrings that just scream my fashion taste, then I'm gonna win this totally chill fuzzy hat, and then I'm going to host my OWN fab blog GiVeaWaY. (Wink, wink, Beccers--it's in the bag).

FLaSHBaCK FRiDaYS!

Holy cow--I can't believe I ever had the "New Mushroom" haircut of the 90s! It was super "trendy" and "in" and "hip " back in '96 (because I've always been such a trendsetter, what can I say?) but now I look back and I'm all, "What was I thinking?" I'm sure that in 2016, this hairdo will totally be back in style and my girls will be asking me to cut their hair like this for their weddings! Can you imagine cute little Kenners getting married? Chah-right!

Anywayz, this post is to introduce the cool new original fun idea I had for my blog, which is FLaSHBaCK FRiDaYS . . . (only I might not always do it on a Friday). I'll be putting up so many FUN pictures from the past, so I'm blogging and doing my family history!

These pictures are from the fabulous Breakfast in Bethlehem Ward Christmas Party from waaaaaaaay back when we were in Iona First Ward (shout out to my homies in Ionies!) My friends are always telling me that I look like I'm anorexic, and I'm all, "Thanks. But I totally pig out all. the. time." As you can see in this picture of me LoViNG that Bethlehem breakfast pita.

LoL! (90's style!)

Six Special Spirits

So, as you all know, I am a hot mom of six, and each one of these six special spirits has come to our family with their own Sweet Set of Stubborn Streaks (I'm All About Awesome Alliteration! LOL!)

Anywayz, I just got the September issue of The Friend magazine, and I ooooooways read through all the church magazines a month in advance so I know which articles to recommend to each of my kids to help them overcome their not-so-cute traits. And this article totally jumped out at me!

It's so weird, because I have a daughter named Madi who looks just like that girl, and she has a grumpy, grouchy, grumbly problem too! (J/K--love ya, Madi-cakes . . . but it's true, LOL). I am so glad that there was another real-life grumpy girl named Madi who had to learn to stop being like Laman and Lemuel. It's weird that Laman and Lemuel's names both start with the same letter, because all of my girls names start with the same letter, too! Crazy!!!

Anywayz, I am just so grateful to have this article to share with Madi (and Morgan, McKenna, Meg, and Matt Maughan), so that they can all try to be more like Nephi and Sam and Less Like those Losers Laman and Lemuel.

The Friend is totally one of my BFFs.

Chariots of Fire!!!

So, the whole clan spent last weekend in Lava Hot Springs at our FAB family reunion, but the best part of the trip was when I ditched the whole fam to see my BFF, Becca--she's my idol! (love you, Beccers!). Wish I could've had a family reunion with just her and me--we're like best friend soul-mate sisters, which is better than family!

Anyway, Beccers invited me to run in the Bancroft 5K with her, and we had so much fun running and panting and sweating! Frills. Only she's, like, a hottie with a naughty body, and she finished waaaaaaaaay before I did, then sprinted back to cheer me on at the end. I got sixth place in my age group! Which is really like 1st place, because anyone my age should be glad if they just finish, let alone run the ENTIRE TIME like I did, not to brag. You should be reading my name in the Caribou County Sun newspaper, if they list all the people who placed, (which they totally should, since there were only six of us over forty).

And I am not even sore! Go me!!!

PS- Aren't we too too cute for words? You should have seen us before the race!

ConGRADulations!!!!!

Whoa. I thought I felt old when Brayden graduated high school, but it's so different when it's your first daughter, you know? It's like this special mother-daughter bond that we have where people think we're sisters but I'm totally way more mature.

Speaking of MATURE, Morgan's name begins with an M, too. (I just love M-names, what can I say?) I wrote one of those cross-stitch poems for her graduation present. I know she'd love some money or for me to help her with school or something, but this poem is so much more massively meaningful, (plus creative!) and I know it'll be a special thing for her to treasure for years to come. Maybe she'll read it the next time she speaks in church on Mother's Day to showcase just one of my many talents.

M is for the Moment you were placed into my arms,
O is for the Overwhelming power of your charms.
R is 'cause you're Righteous--such a Molly Morgan Mormon,
G 'cause you're so Gorgeous that you have the guys a-swarmin'.
A is All your Absences (good thing there's tardy school!)
N is cause you'll Never Never Never be as cool (as me, your mom! J/K LOL BFF!!!)

Hahaha. Sometimes other people don't get how close we are and they don't get our humor. But really I think they're pretending because they are jealous that they don't have a best-friend-sisterly relationship like ours that's really a mom-dot relaysh. Like they don't even know what mom-dot relaysh means because it's kind of our special and inside-joke lingo.

So so SOOOO proud of you, Morgy.

Guess who's preggers????!!!!

Okay, we're NOT. J/K!!!! We already have six lil bundles o' joy. But if we were getting preggers again, this is prolly what our seventh lil munchkin would look like!!! And, since she's a girl, I have to think of a cute-but-sassy name that starts with the letter "M." (Duh! )
So vote for your favorite on the sidebar!!!

Happy Birthday to Yours Truly

Seriously guys, I can't believe how WAY OLD I am, but how WAY YOUNG I look and feel and act. My friends are always telling me I look like I'm 25, and I'm all "Chah right!"

I hope my sweet hubby doesn't disappoint me in the gift department this year. Here's a hint, baby-cakes. Better get working on the taxes before tomorrow--wink, wink! ;) ;)

Anyway, I hope you all have a happy day on MY happy day, because it's the best day of the year!

All My Love,
Cori
